Sometimes life is hard, and we mess up but as Exodus 23:2 says, "Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by sliding with the crowd" What do you think this bible verse means? I think it means do not follow the group of people doing the wrong things, it say you should be choosing your own path instead of them choosing it for you.In the bible Jesus tells the people of this farmer who one day goes out to sow his seeds. The farmer scattered his seeds along the path by accident and the birds came and ate the seeds. Some of the seeds got scattered in rocky places and others in areas with little soil. The ones with little soil sprouted to early and would shrivel and die because they had no roots. Some seeds grew among the thorns and when they grew were choked by them and died. But some seeds fell where the soil was good and thick. Those seeds grew to produce healthy crops that would multiply to make many more. Why do you think Jesus told the people of this parable? I think Jesus told them this because he wanted to tell them how easy it could be to fall off the path. Like the seeds that got carried away, or planted in an area where they could not survive.
Those seeds went the wrong way and look where they ended up, Dead! Yes all of us will eventually die, but some of those seeds, or people, may have died for stupid mistakes. Like taking illegal drugs. Taking drugs like Heroine or Meth is not good for you. If you know that, Why are you taking them? Another one is texting and driving. When you are driving please keep your eyes on the road when you take them off the road your not only endangering your life but the people in the care with you and the people in the cars next to you. You need to pull over if your going to text someone, do not endanger others. One more example would be drinking and driving. If you are to the age where you can drink be carful with how much you drink. Also when or if you and your friends go clubbing or go to a bar assign one person as your "designated driver" that person must not drink, that way when you can't they will drive you home so you won't crash. Those were all examples of "falling off the path". God has made a plan for all of us, so why would you go and do not so smart actions and end up dying. Even when "everyone" else is doing it does not make it smart. If your friends went and jumped off a cliff, would you jump too?
Even though we go away from God and go down our paths God is still there for us. Isaiah 53:6 says, "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has on him the iniquity of us all." This verse means a lot because it shows that God is always watching out for us and that even when we leave him he is still there, watching over us and protecting us. God is always there for you even when/if you don't think he is there.
Now take this test so you know weather you are ready to follow your path.
